December 21, 2023. This year has been marked by a process of recovery in demand for poultry meat, which reaches production values of 2021, but with a high cost of profitability after 2 years of price increases in raw materials, energy, inputs and inflation.
JOINT COMMUNICATION ASAJA, COAG, UPA AND AVIANZA: THE FUTURE OF POULTRY MEAT PRODUCTION DEPENDS ON THE COMMITMENT OF THE WHOLE AGRI-FOOD CHAIN
December 21, 2023. The professional agricultural organizations ASAJA, COAG and UPA, as well as AVIANZA, (Spanish Interprofessional Association of Poultry Meat), present their firm commitment to ensuring a long-term sustainable supply of poultry meat. The aforementioned organizations have carried out negotiations since last summer, with the sole purpose of launching a Standard Contract that ensures effective compliance with the chain law.
THE TURKEY IS AGAIN THE GREAT PROTAGONIST OF THE AVIANZA THANKSGIVING PARTY
November 15, 2023. Avianza, the Spanish Interprofessional Association of Poultry Meat, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and Food of Spain, have joined again, for the second consecutive year, in the traditional celebration of Thanksgiving Day, where The turkey is the main protagonist. To do this, they have counted on chef Javier Muñoz-Calero to carry out an informative workshop on the preparation of a roast turkey at the Ovillo restaurant in Madrid (C/ de Pantoja, 8).
AVIANZA AND TONY AGUILAR JOIN TO PROMOTE THE BIRDS OF SPAIN
November 13, 2023. AVIANZA, the Spanish Interprofessional Association of Poultry Meat, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Nutrition of Spain, are carrying out an action to promote the consumption of poultry in Spain on social networks. To do this, they have joined forces with the renowned radio and television presenter, Tony Aguilar, who is carrying out an action to disseminate the benefits of poultry meat on his Instagram profile.
AVIANZA PROMOTES ITS FIRST CERTIFICATION TO PROMOTE POULTRY MEAT FROM SPAIN
October 24, 2023. Spanish poultry meat already has its own quality certificate. Under the global initiative “AVES DE ESPAÑA” (www.avesdeespana.es), promoted by Avianza (Spanish Interprofessional Association of Poultry Meat), the necessary bases and tools are laid to value the production of poultry meat (chicken , turkey and quail) of our country, from its breeding, production, preparation of products and its distribution throughout the world.

April 19, 2023. The 36th edition of the Gourmets Hall once again featured an ephemeral restaurant dedicated exclusively to Spanish poultry within its walls. Avianza, the Spanish Interprofessional Poultry Meat Association, and after the success of the 2022 edition, wanted to once again highlight the poultry sector by opening the Avianz Ephemeral Restauranta, at the Ministry stand. ASAJA, COAG, UPA AND AVIANZA PROMOTE THE EXECUTIVE INTEGRATION COMMITTEE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE POULTRY MEAT PRODUCING SECTOR IN SPAIN

Representatives of the main national agricultural and livestock organizations, ASAJA, COAG and UPA, and AVIANZA, the majority association of the Spanish poultry meat sector, which brings together more than 65 associated companies and represents more than 90% of companies linked to the chicken, turkey and quail meat sector, have officially constituted the Executive Integration Committee.

JOSEP SOLÉ, ELECTED NEW PRESIDENT OF AVIANZA
January 26, 2023. The Board of Directors of the Spanish Interprofessional Poultry Meat Association (Avianza) has unanimously elected Josep Solé as the new president. Solé replaces Antonio Sánchez, president of Avianza since 2019, in the position.
AVIANZA GUARANTEES THE SALARY INCREASE OF THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT FOR BIRD AND RABBIT SLAUGHTERHOUSES
January 25, 2023. AVIANZA, Spanish Interprofessional Association of Poultry Meat, has made the decision to anticipate the salary increase corresponding to the year 2023 for workers dependent on the Collective Agreement of Poultry and Rabbit Slaughterhouses.
This measure has been approved jointly with AMPE, Association of Chicken Slaughterhouses of Spain, and AMACO, National Association of Poultry, Rabbit Processors and Poultry Cutting Plants, associations actively linked to AVIANZA.
THE MUNICIPAL LIVESTOCK-MEAT NETWORK CELEBRATES ITS FIRST MEETING OF MAYORS AND COUNCILORS
January 25, 2023. The Municipal Livestock-Meat Network held the first meeting of mayors and councilors of its member municipalities in Madrid, attended by around twenty officials from municipalities such as Alcarràs (Lleida), Alerre and Binéfar (Huesca), Cabezuela and Cantimpalos ( Segovia), El Viso (Córdoba), Lleida, Tarancón (Cuenca) or Totana (Murcia).

THE FIRST CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE EUROPEAN POULTRY MEAT STARTS SUPPORTED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION
The European poultry promotion campaign focused on sustainability begins, the first of its kind to be launched in our country. The initiative has been made possible thanks to the cooperation of the national poultry associations of Germany, France and Spain, and their framework association, AVEC (the European Poultry Association), which is based in Belgium.
